hi finance at
Humber Polytechnic
This is what paying for a Humber program actually looks like: what OSAP covers, the per-term deposit schedule that catches people off guard, and where the money goes once it lands.
$9,808–$13,203
Residence cost, full year including meals
Humber's 2026-27 room rates bundled with the mandatory dining plan, from a Lakeshore semi-suite double to a North or Lakeshore suite. A $500 deposit secures the room, split into July 20 and November 16 instalments.

Non-refundable tuition deposit
Due each term before the balance, so the fall deposit lands June 10, 2026 and the full fall balance July 20, before classes start. Domestic tuition runs roughly $1,900 to $6,250 a semester by program.

In scholarships, awards, and bursaries each year
Humber-wide, including $500 tuition bursaries, $1,500 to $4,000 degree entrance scholarships, and IGNITE's $500 student bursary.
SourceFall tuition deposit due
A $250 non-refundable deposit per term, applied 100% to your tuition. You can't cover it with anticipated OSAP, so plan the payment even if funding is pending.
Balance of fall fees due
The full fall balance lands about six weeks after the deposit and before classes start. OSAP students don't pay this out of pocket: an approved OSAP assessment appears as a pending credit on your MyHumber account and counts as an arranged payment.
Last day to drop a course for refund
You have until September 21 to drop a fall course and get your money back. After that you pay full tuition for anything you keep, so fix your schedule in the first two weeks.
IGNITE bursary applications open
The student union's bursary is $500 for full-time students, one per academic year. The window opens October 13, and it stacks with Humber's own tuition bursaries.
Winter balance and residence instalment 2
The winter term balance and the second residence instalment both land November 16. The winter deposit was due October 21, so check your MyHumber account before this date, not after.

Humber tuition: a $250 deposit per term, first due in June
Humber charges a $250 deposit each term with the fall balance due July 20. The deadlines, the OSAP deferral trick, and the money moves for your first week.
Humber residence costs: what you'll actually pay
Humber's cheapest residence option is a Lakeshore semi-suite double at $9,808 with meals. Full 2026-27 rates, off-campus rent near each campus, and the hidden costs.
Does Humber Polytechnic use OSAP?
Yes. Humber is an Ontario college and polytechnic, and OSAP is Ontario's student aid program. Humber's enrolment confirmation starts no earlier than 15 days before your term, and the NSLSC pays tuition directly to Humber with the remainder sent to your bank in the first two weeks of term.
Can I get OSAP as an out-of-province student at Humber?
You apply to your home province's program, not OSAP. A student from Alberta studying at Humber applies through Alberta Student Aid. Your province of residence determines which program funds you, not the school you attend.
Do I have to apply separately for Humber scholarships and bursaries?
Degree entrance scholarships are automatic based on your high school average. The $500 tuition bursaries, the $2,000 bursary for students formerly in care, and IGNITE's bursary all need an application. Admission scholarships are the only part that runs on its own.
What happens if my OSAP doesn't cover my tuition?
You're responsible for the shortfall by the term deadlines. Options include Humber's tuition bursaries, the IGNITE bursary, and the interest-free PayMyTuition instalment plan, in roughly that order since bursary money doesn't have to be paid back.
Is there a transit pass included in Humber's fees?
No. Humber isn't in a U-Pass program, so budget a TTC post-secondary monthly pass at $128.15. GO Transit gives post-secondary students 40% off with a GO Student ID, which matters if you live along a GO line.
