Your first week at Humber is orientation, campus tours, and a short list of deadlines that carry real money. Humber splits tuition into per-term deposits and balances, and the dates land earlier than most new students expect: the fall deposit is due in June, and the full balance in July, before you’ve bought a textbook. Here’s the schedule, what Humber charges, and what to set up before classes start.

The fall 2026 dates that matter

How Humber’s tuition works

Never applied to grants before?

You might be eligible for $4,000+ in grants!

Grants are free money you never pay back. The survey checks what you qualify for, and hi helps you apply.

Humber assesses fees per semester, and each term has its own deposit and balance deadline:

  • A $250 non-refundable deposit per term, due by that term’s deposit deadline. It applies 100% to your tuition, and you can’t cover it with anticipated OSAP.
  • The remaining balance by the balance deadline, about six weeks later.
  • Domestic tuition runs roughly $1,900 to $6,250 per semester depending on the program. The exact number for your program is on Humber’s tuition fee schedule.

Mandatory fees add up on top of tuition. For 2026-27, full-time students pay about $905 a year in compulsory fees: $580.47 in ancillary fees, $91.24 for IGNITE, and $233.30 for the health and dental plan. The health and dental plan is opt-outable through IGNITE if you’re already covered under a parent’s plan. That opt-out window is early in the term, so check it in week one.

You pay everything online through MyHumber’s Payment and Account Centre via PayMyTuition, which takes bank payments and credit cards. There’s also an interest-free instalment plan per term with an enrolment fee, if a single payment doesn’t fit your cash flow.

The OSAP deferral, which matters more than it sounds

If you’re on OSAP, you don’t have to pay the July balance out of pocket. Once Humber has your approved OSAP funding assessment, it shows up as a pending credit on your MyHumber account and counts as an arranged payment. If the assessment covers your term balance, you’re fully funded and can register without paying anything yet.

Two things make this work:

  • Apply early. OSAP applications open in May, and Humber recommends finishing at least a month before your study period starts. Late applications mean late funding.
  • Watch the confirmation step. Humber confirms your enrolment no earlier than 15 days before the term starts. The NSLSC pays tuition directly to Humber and sends the remainder to your bank within the first two weeks of term.

The money moves to make in week one

  • Check your account statement in MyHumber. Tuition, fees, the health plan, everything is itemized there. Read it, because errors don’t fix themselves.
  • Opt out of the health and dental plan if you’re double-covered. The plan is $233.30 this year, and the opt-out runs through IGNITE early in the term.
  • Know the drop date. You have until September 21 to drop a fall course and get your money back. After that, you pay full tuition for anything you keep.
  • Apply for the IGNITE bursary. It’s $500 for full-time students, one per academic year, and the application window opens October 13.
  • Walk your campus before day one. North Campus is a maze of buildings with letters for names. Find your rooms during orientation.

The bottom line

The dates do the damage if you miss them: $250 deposit by June 10, fall balance by July 20, drop-for-refund by September 21. Get your OSAP assessment in early so the pending credit covers the balance, opt out of the health plan if you don’t need it, and grab the IGNITE bursary in October. Those four items handle most of the money stress of first year.
